Montpellier | Cordovan | Bourbon

$2,287.00

This exclusive pair is now available in our Group-Made-to-Order by Edward Green x The Hand through Thursday, June 30th.

Edward Green's Montpellier is the most classic of loafers. Elegant yet sturdy, this loafer pairs as well with a smart casual look as with bespoke tailoring.

Crafted on the 184 last with a slim, gently rounded toe, the Montpellier features a full saddle strap running across the shoe from welt to welt, providing a supportive fit and distinctive look.

Building on the success of the Montpellier in chestnut antique calf, which is part of our current collection at The Hand, with this GMTO we present the Montpellier loafer in Bourbon Cordovan.

The Cordovan has been sourced from the world-renowned tannery Horween Leather Company in Chicago, United States. This leather comes from the buttocks of the work-horse, and it’s extremely hard-wearing and offers a high-level shine. Typically, cordovan leather is dark in tone, but the bourbon is a mid-brown tone, which is harder to produce due to the irregularities in the skin.

This model is made entirely by hand in Edward Green’s state-of-the-art workshop in Northampton, England. It features a Goodyear-welt construction, which ensures decades of wear, leather soles with a closed channel (which requires great expertise to create), and exceptionally fine stitching.

With lead times of approximately four months, we expect to deliver your shoes this Fall.
