Maison Corthay

Pierre Corthay was always destined to become a bespoke shoemaker par excellence. In 1979, he enrolled in the Compagnons du Devoir, the world-famous organisation that produces artisans of the highest calibre, which sent him on a ‘Tour de France’ where he studied with the very best bespoke shoemakers. In 1990, his own legacy began at a mere 27 years of age.

Over the last 30 years, his eponymous brand has garnered a reputation for crafting elegant, sophisticated and, at times, dazzling dress shoes with patinas that elevate them to works of art. They are truly special creations; perfectly lasted with an array of classic and contemporary styles that are bounded by a level of artisanship that’s rare to find these days.
