Edward Green has been making shoes in Northampton, England since 1890. Its promise "Excellence without compromise", soon attracted icons from Ernest Hemingway to namesake Edward, the Duke of Windsor (whose impeccable style and rebellious attitude can be admired today in Netflix series The Crown).
The Hand is proud to partner with Edward Green. We have been longstanding admirers of the superb quality, timelessness, meticulous detailing and iconic English heritage of this maker. When visiting the factory, we were most impressed with the dedication of the team. From leading lady Hilary Freeman to the artisans who craft the shoes by hand, everyone shares a strong passion for the mastery of techniques which has been passed through the generations. To The Hand, Edward Green is the quintessential English bootmaker, which is reflected in our ready to wear collection.
