As 2021 draws to a close, we thought there’s no better time than the present to draw your attention to our sale, which includes many must-have styles and casual staples that will no doubt be welcomed additions to your footwear arsenal.
From Mario Bemer, the Florentine shoemaker that’s renowned for its exceptional craft and dazzling patina work, there are two Luca tassel loafers that are equally elegant and sophisticated. However there’s one that truly stands out: the deep burgundy model, which has plenty of character whilst retaining its classic characteristic traits. For relaxed weekends spent at home, there are also two pairs of white tennis sneakers from Bemer, which are made from top of the range calf leather with visible hand stitching – these aren’t your average sneakers, let’s say.
A few styles from the rebel bespoke shoemaker Norman Vilalta are also in the sale, particularly the Derby Simple Boot in dark grey which is perfect for this time of year thanks to the lightweight Vibram sole. Another immensely talented Italian shoemaker in our sale is Bestetti, and its chocolate suede St James chukka boot (pictured above) is simply stunning due to the immaculately defined bevelled waist. The last is sharp and confident, and we refer to it as being a civilised cowboy boot. If you’re looking for something that’s considerably more formal, look at Bestetti’s Spider shoe, which is an elevated twist on a semi-brogue Oxford. Again, the bevelling of the waist lifts the shoe into the realm of fine art and sculpture.
Elsewhere, we have a handful of styles from TLB Artista, which hails from Mallorca, Spain. The Chelsea boot (pictured below) is our pick of the bunch, and it’s been crafted on a rounded last and made from a delicious light brown suede that will pair effortlessly well with your old-favourite denim jeans. Then, there’s our entire range of Santoni shoes. While its double-monk strap is without a doubt a signature of the brand, we’re particularly fond of the whole-cut Oxford in dark brown (pictured above) with its three eyelet lacing system.
There are a couple of styles in the sale from the Portuguese shoemaker Carlos Santos Handgrade, which is one of our entry-level brands. The two styles included are variations of a single-buckle monk strap, which we’re predicting as a style will become incredibly popular next year. Due to the simple addition of a buckle, it gives the shoe a touch of attitude, which is sometimes needed when wearing formal attire!
For those of you who are planning on travelling somewhere hot during this winter season, you’ll be pleased to know that we also have a few summer-friendly loafers in the sale. From Edward Green we have the English shoemaker’s Polperro loafer, which is unlined and comes in a sublime cobalt blue suede, and from Gaziano & Girling, we have the Capri loafer (pictured above), which is also unlined and comes in a versatile polo brown suede.
All in all, we hope that you find something in our sale that will perhaps fill a gap in your footwear department and further enrich your love and appreciation for high-end shoemaking. As always, if you have any questions please get in touch by emailing us at hello@meetthehand.com – we’d love to assist you.
