The Hand’s Edward Green Henley GMTO explores a rarer side of English shoemaking: a more expressive, more characterful pattern, offered here as a true collector’s proposition. For our version, we chose to place the Henley on Edward Green’s classically English 202 last, giving the design a more grounded, elegant balance. The result is a special-order shoe for clients who already appreciate the classics and are looking for something with greater nuance, texture, and personality.

This make-up pairs Dark Oak calf with Snuff suede, creating the more understated expression of the two available versions. The effect is warm, tonal, and richly textural, with a softness that makes the shoe especially easy to place in a considered wardrobe.

It is the Henley at its quietest and, in many ways, its most naturally wearable: distinctive yet restrained, luxurious without excess, and beautifully suited to clients who value subtle detail over overt statement.
