Horton | Unlined | Suede | Black
Estimated Delivery Time: Pre-order until 24 December 2025 for delivery in May–June 2026.

The Horton is the most formal member of the Black Suede Trio. A refined buckle loafer on Edward Green’s 184 last, it combines the authority of a monk strap with the softness and richness of black suede.
Where the Hampton is minimal and the Belgravia is expressive, the Horton brings quiet formality. The clean vamp and elegant buckle give it a dressier attitude, ideal for sharp tailoring and evening wear. In black suede, the effect is powerful but never harsh – a softer kind of black that feels very modern.
You can wear the Horton with a navy or charcoal suit, with a dark blazer and tailored trousers, or as an unexpected but entirely appropriate option with black tie. The unlined construction keeps it surprisingly comfortable for long dinners and events, while the Goodyear welted sole ensures long-term durability.
Created exclusively for The Hand with Edward Green, this Horton in black suede is available only in this special make-up and only during the pre-order window.
Pre-order closes 24 December 2025, with delivery expected May–June 2026.

- Use Shoe Trees: Insert well-fitting shoe trees to maintain shape and extend lifespan, especially if shoes get wet. Premium suede can handle rain.
- Brush Regularly: Use a high-quality suede brush (preferably natural rubber, like Turms) to remove dirt. Use a welt brush to remove dust and dirt trapped in the crevices.
- Handle Stains Professionally: For stubborn stains (e.g., oil), consult a cobbler to treat with suede shampoo.
- Avoid Overusing Protective Sprays: Choose a natural protector; limit silicone sprays as they block leather pores and reduce breathability.
