The Hand’s Edward Green Henley GMTO is a special-order proposition for clients drawn to the rarer side of Edward Green. More expressive than the house’s best-known staples, the Henley is a connoisseur’s choice: a pattern with nuance, texture, and quiet theatre. For this GMTO, we chose Edward Green’s classically English 202 last, bringing the design into a more grounded and elegant balance.

This version pairs Dark Oak calf with Beige twill, giving the Henley a more distinctive and collector-led expression. The contrast is crisper, airier, and a touch more archival in feel, recalling the charm of old English sporting dress while remaining refined and wearable.

It is the more unusual of the two make-ups, suited to clients who enjoy subtle distinction and want a shoe that signals taste to those who know, without ever needing to shout.

Wear it with cream and stone trousers, spring tailoring, hopsack navy, tobacco linen blends, denim, and lighter seasonal textures.
